Several weeks ago Gerald Peters Gallery exhibited 160 Gustave Baumann prints. They filled all four walls of the room, five up, seven across. Standing in the middle, a golden yellow hue palpably filled the space with thick black lines of uneven depth on the periphery. It was a total sensory experience. Baumann prints are not necessarily predominantly golden yellow. This sensation may have been specific to how I perceive color. Apparently we each see color with slight differences (fodder for another blog). Awesome!
This salon style of hanging pictures stacked above each other is not my favorite but in this instance it was awesome.
